discuss Muten Krillin, Yamcha and Tenshinhan. Their history, power, when the special will be, how far they get in the tournament etc

Muten Krillin has spoken about Saiyen, Cyborg, Babidi, etc. but have not spoken about Buu.
So I assume that they defeated Babidi and Dabra before Buu.

So I think that they are equal to a SSJ2.

Or, they are just wiser that Vegeta and company, and although they maybe could have beaten Buu, they just don't try, they kill Babidi before.

So maybe they were already equal to a SSJ3, and now with the time, they could become as strong as Goku Vegeta, etc.

Anyway, they are at least equal to a SSJ2 (because they beat Dabra).

I think SSJ2 strength is quite a good power level.
Doesn't it say that they fought Cooler? It will be interesting to see how that played out
if it's in the special.

u9 krillin i would place around ssj2 goku (begin buu saga) level of power

tien probaly close behind

yamcha he's a tricky one, if he is the complete opposite of his u16/u18 version then he could be just as strong as tien, if he was lazy he would more be around goten and trunks level of power during the buu saga.

Just an idea: maybe Tien and Yamch have the same strength and can fuse?

In that way, they could be at least as strong than Muten Krillin, and maybe as strong as a SSJ3.

you mean that joke fusion from the video games like budokai 2 and 3?

I just mean a serious fusion. But yes, probably the same as in the video game (or another look).

If we assume that Tien and Yamcha have the strength of a SSJ2, so the fusion strength should be between Gotenks and Vegeto.

And I think that the fusion can use a very huge Kaioken.
So maybe at their max, they could be as strong as SSJ Vegeto.

kaioken is great an all. but how did they learn it? if they where the only 3 to defend earth and they died....their universe would of been unprotected

once raditz arrived im sure one of them died and went to king kai. its not like they dont have kami and therefore dragonballs.

only 3? we dont know that. maybe they are the only ones who wanted to compete.

true, there could be others. but no one else in db was even near the level of the z-fighters.

what i wonder is why does krillin look so old, while tien and yamcha still look in their prime

Yamcha and Tien probably drank from the fountain of youth or whatever Roshi did.

rochi was immortal in the sense he woudn't die of old age, but still did age
perhaps krillin drank that same drink.
yamcha and tien mabey used the dragonballs to wish themselves younger?

maybe they arent yamcha and tien at all. but their sons or something. wishing for youth is possible. but why didnt krillin do that? hes unhappy with being old.

did we see u9 yamcha close enough to confirm he has scars? i dont remember.

them being the sons of yamcha and tien is pretty much possible. "yamchas" hair could actually be a really dark violet blue instead of black, indicating that bulma kept the "cute desert bandit" as a boyfriend. "tien" could actually be tiens and launch(lunch)s son, since i seem to remember that the blonde aggressive launch(lunch) had a liking for tien.

but since we didnt get a close up of them both, they could as well be really old. just that their hair (or eyebrows in tiens case) simply stayed dark instead of going grey.

I think so. I'm not quite sure whether that's a scar or a drawing error

we havn't seen the yamcha- like fighter up close yet. probably got his scars in a battle with the saiyans or something.

hm page 141 up close really seems to show he has a scar. still doesnt look much like yamcha's, imo.

hm... tien looks really young, imo.

i still say the two are the sons of krillins friends. cant imagine krillin being this old when tien and yamcha simply wished for youth again. i guess krillin killed king piccolo for good and as such there never were DBs after that. hm...

well krillin mabey drank the same potion that rochi drank. it gave him eternal life, but not eternal youth. and he could still die from being killed.

Maybe they went to the Kaioshin Planet with Supreme Kai and pullled out the Z Sword somehow (Kaioken??) and Elder Kai gave them all their powers.. than they returned to earth and killed Fat Buu with ease.. maybe.. hmm

My guess...

In this universe, they faced Freeza, Krillin used the Kienzan to kill him. At this point they were probably no match for him phisically. Cooler must have also suffered the same fate, as Krillin remembers Salza.

They got warned about the Androids as normal (Yamchas kid instead of Vegetas though) and trained for them. Due to them actually not being outclassed by Saiyans they trained harder and used the Time Chamber to their advantage, also Krillin staying more true to the Kame style of fighting. Lets say for the sake of argument they all know Kaioken too, since they probably all died at some point and spent longer with Kaio. With use of the Kaioken, their skill and their abilities, they took out all the Androids before things as powerful as Semi Perfect Cell showed up.

They continue training until Babidi shows up. Since Dabura is here at this point they at a combined force must have been able to take on Supressed Perfect Cell by now. I'm guessing among all this Buu shows up. Kaioshin would have had to take them at some point, as Krillin had a shell made from that metal. I would guess they all had their potential unlocked by the Old Kai during this. They would use Fusion and Kaioken to push themselved beyond Buu's level. At the most Buu would have likely become Super Buu, maybe an absorbtion of any other fighters that may have been with Krillin, Tien and Yamcha.

At the tornament now... Krillin is at his highest possible potential, and a very skilled fighter. Perhaps around Supressed FPSSJ Gohan level. Beleve it or not, Kaioken x 10 would put him beyond SSJ3 at this point. (if you go by the SSJ3 = 8x FPSSJ). Yamcha and Tien are probably not too far behind. I'm guessing that the real power of this universe will come from Tien and Yamcha though, as I'm willing to bet they'll perform fusion. This Fusion will probably show levels of Kaioken never seen before and be insanely strong.

i think the normal human/saiyan body can't use higher then x20 kaioken.
a fusion body (dance or patora) on the other hand could handle much higher levels

as i said in the kaioken/ssj thread, i think withstanding the strain of kaioken is a matter of training. everyone could withstand it if he/she had a proper training to do so.

a reason to train the kaioken would be present for the humans of u9, since no ssj would be around at all.

the training needed would simply be "strengthen the body to withstand the strain in anyway". of course its not as simple as just stating it is
